James Dreiss, Director
James recently received his BA from New York University, studying Art History and English. Besides GlobalVote, James works in US immigration law, obtaining visas and greencards for foreign nationals and specializing in the Permanent Labor Certification process. He has also worked as a fact checker for Vanity Fair magazine and as an archivist for the Paula Cooper Gallery in New York. Contact: james@theglobalvote.org
David Schreiner, Assistant Program Director, Intern Coordinator, Financial Manager
After receiving his BA from Amherst, studying Spanish, with minors in International Relations and Latin American Studies in 2006, David spent a year living and teaching in the Marshall Islands, followed by a year doing the same in Bangkok, Thailand. His interests include the role of globalization as a positive force in developing market integration and using new media technologies to foster communication between disparate communities.

Burcak Onen, Communication and Outreach Officer
Burcak recently received her degree from Northwestern University in Political Science and Business Institutions. She is now the Communications and Outreach officer at GlobalVote. Previously she has worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, Bender Deutsche Securities and Bersay Communication Consultancy in Istanbul, Turkey. Rafael Khachaturian, Project Officer
Rafael is currently completing his M.A. in political science at the New School for Social Research. He is originally from Moscow, Russia. His research interests include social and political theory, and the history of political movements. He hopes to continue a career in academia and the non-profit sector. Lisa Pertoso, Project Coordinator
Lisa recently returned to New York City to continue a career in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining GlobalVote, she lived in Washington, DC where she worked for a Chinese human rights advocacy organization. Lisa has an M.A. in International Relations from Seton Hall University's Whitehead School of Diplomacy and a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Union College. Alice Beckman, Project Coordinator
Alice is a program associate and the summer internship coordinator for GlobalVote. She recently finished her MA in International Education with a specialization in Africa and Development Education from NYU. She works as the agency relations director for a non-profit children’s charity in New York. Contact: alice@theglobalvote.org
Brook Hayes, Project Coordinator
Brook is currently completing his undergraduate degree in a Social & Cultural Analysis at New York University. An interdisciplinary curriculum between American Studies and Metropolitan Studies, his focus combines globalization and urban development with strong personal interest in international relations. Brook currently works at an interactive media company and also contributes to the ARCHIVE Institute, inter-disciplinary think tank aimed at increasing awareness of the spatial implications of diseases and public health disasters.
Nika Antonikova
Nika is originally from Russia. She received her master's degree in public administration from the Moscow State Lomonosov's University. After that she worked on issues of democratization and government-NGO relations in Russia for 4 years. In 2007 Nika became a Muskie Fellow (Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program), and continued her studies at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, specializing in nonprofit management and leadership. In August, 2008, Nika will return to Russia to work on development of social entrepreneurship in her country.
Karen Fan, Project Coordinator
Karen is currently completing her undergraduate degree in political science and economics at University of Michigan. She is a staff writer for the Michigan Journal of International Affairs and an active member of Amnesty International. She hopes to pursue a career in the development field of economics or international development.
 Stephanie Gimenez, Project Coordinator - Americas
Stephanie studied at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, double-majoring in Economics and Political Science and pursuing certificates of International Relations and Latin American Studies. After graduation, she wants to go to graduate school to study Development Economics or a similar course.
Wayne Lalicon, Project Coordinator - Americas
Wayne graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick majoring in political science. Currently, he is pursuing graduate studies in political science at the University of California-Irvine.
Natia Matiashvili, Project Coordinator - Eastern Europe
Natia recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Baruch College and plans to go to graduate school in the field of International Relations. She originally comes from Tbilisi, Georgia.
Prabhath Udugampola, Project Coordinator
Prabhath is originally from Sri Lanka. He is currently completing his
undergraduate degree in Economics, History and Political Science at
Columbia University. He also works as a pro-bono intern at The Lawyers
Alliance for New York. After graduation, he hopes to go to either Law
school or Graduate school.
