September 18, 2009 Dr. Martin S. Edwards and Mr. Nigel Martin joins the GlobalVote Advisory Board
Dr. Martin S. Edwards is currently an Associate Professor in the Whitehead School of Diplomacy at Seton Hall University.
Nigel Martin is the founding President of the Montreal International Forum (FIM).

GlobalVote received a grant from the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy this week. The grant will be used for website improvement and to enhance our translation capabilities. Thank you Taiwan Foundation for Democracy for supporting our cause!
September 9, 2008: Third Chamber Workshop, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
GlobalVote organized another fantastic workshop for the Third Chamber in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is the second time in a row that GlobalVote has been asked to host a workshop on global citzenry and democracy for the Third Chamber. Esther and Kees, from the GlobalVote Netherlands, engaged a group of 15 participants, each hailing from different nationalities, in a discussion on what it means to be a global citizen. The group also analyzed the impact of cross cultural communication via the internet on the future of democracy. Each participants joined the website as board members and will work to expand the member base in their respective countries.

July 30, 2008; GlobalVote's Fundraising Party With over 500 members from 77 countries and the near launch of our new website, GlobalVote celebrated with its first fundraiser party in NYC at the Galway Hooker Pub on 1 East 36 St, New York, NY 10016. The premiere of our promotional GlobalVote flash cartoon was one of the highlight's of the evening. Drink specials, appetizers and great raffle prizes were also available. By the end of the night, forty guests showed up, and with much success, we raised about $800 USD. April 18, 2008 GlobalVote makes presentation for the third chamber in the Netherlands The Board of GlobalVote the Netherlands made a presentation for a group of 25 people of different nationalities from the South who were invited by the Dutch government to discuss and give their opinions on the Development Assistance Policy of the Netherlands. The theme of this year’s third chamber event was “Global Citizen” and the GlobalVote organized a workshop with the theme “Global Citizen and the Internet”. December 2006; Start of the GlobalVote After a lecture of Jan Pronk, former special representative of the Secretary General for Darfur, about the changes that has taken place in the world the last 60 years while the institutions involved in Global Decision Making have not changed at all. A group of energetic, enthusiastic professionals started to brainstorm about voting on global issues by using the internet.
